Venus exits Scorpio, expands into Sagittarius
The path from Scorpio into Sagittarius
has been anything but quiet this fall.
Every planet that’s exited Scorpio
has touched the same two thresholds:
the trine to Neptune in Pisces
and the opposition to Uranus in Taurus.
Mercury crossed them twice
(and will cross them a third time next weekend).
The Sun moved through it
about ten days ago.
And now
it is Venus’s turn.
Yesterday, Venus
the part of us that seeks connection,
love that feels like truth
stood across from Uranus.
A jolt.
A spark.
A crack in the façade
where something real
wanted to break through.
Moments like this
can bring sudden attraction,
unexpected clarity,
a flash of romantic exhilaration,
or the awareness that something

too predictable to break out.
Then, overnight,
Venus turned toward Neptune
and opened into water.
Here the tone changed.

there was shimmer.
Instead of rupture
there was release.
The Venus–Neptune trine
can feel like a brush with the mystical,

friendship or romance rising
into a more numinous octave.

and it can also blur boundaries,
feed a fantasy,
or melt us into feelings
that have no anchor.

this Venus–Uranus–Neptune sequence
carries the possibilities of:
exotic and sparkling beauty,
aesthetic originality,
spiritually stimulating friendships,
exciting romantic ideals,
sudden deep connections,
moments of ecstatic union,
beautiful and colorful visions
and also…
sudden attractions without substance,
fickle or escapist tendencies,
unrealistic fantasies,
strange or disruptive
relationship patterns.
And now
as we move into the afternoon
Venus leaves Scorpio altogether.
She steps out of fixed water
and enters Sagittarius
mutable fire
where her longing
changes temperature.
Where Scorpio pulls us inward
Sagittarius lifts the gaze outward.
Where Scorpio wants depth
Sagittarius wants movement.
Where Scorpio asks for honesty
Sagittarius asks for freedom.
This shift can feel
like a deep exhale
after weeks of emotional intensity.
Desire stretches its legs.
Curiosity returns.
A little wanderlust appears
around the edges of the heart.
Connections want space
to grow by expansion
not excavation.
Love wants to learn something new,
to explore a horizon,
to say yes to a possibility
rather than investigate a pattern.
If Scorpio was the subterranean well,
Sagittarius is the open road.
Let yourself notice the change today.
What loosens.
What brightens.
What possibilities begin to warm
at the edge of adventure.
