The Moon continues her journey in Aquarius this morning
cool, conceptual, a little removed.
But before she dissolves into the waters of Pisces,
she makes a sharp, sizzling opposition to Mars in Leo:
a final flash of fire
before he grounds into Virgo tomorrow.
This is a turning point.
Both the Moon and Mars are shifting gears
from fixed to mutable,
from steady grip to flowing change.
It’s the moment when ego says:
keep holding on,
while soul whispers:
let it move through you.
You might feel the tension between body and soul,
between what you want to do
and what your energy is actually willing to sustain.
Ego drives the body to act.
Soul listens for the body's truth.
Moon–Mars oppositions tend to bring the heat—
internally or externally.
When conscious, this heat can be sacred:
bold emotional expression,
courageous truth-telling,
the desire to act,
move your body,
speak from the gut.
Ego pushes to be heard.
Soul waits for the right moment to speak.
When unconscious, it scorches:
defensiveness,
snappishness,
a flare of frustration
that seems to come out of nowhere.
Ego reacts.
Soul responds.

And this opposition lands
at the closing act of Mars in Leo
a transit that began
November 3, 2024 – January 6, 2025 (retrograde Dec 6–Jan 6),
and returned from April 17th to tomorrow, June 17th.
Mars in Leo may have fueled you with courage,
creative bursts,
and fire-forged convictions.
Ego is drawn to the spotlight.
Soul is drawn to the source.
It’s a placement of heat and heart—
where Mars separates,
Leo illuminates.
Together, they burn through false selves
so the soul can shine brighter.
Ego performs to be loved.
Soul expresses love through creation.
Did you burn bright?
Or get scorched?
Did you lead with heart,
or lose your center
in the heat of needing to be seen?
Ego thrives on recognition.
Soul rests in authenticity.
Either way—
we’ve reached the threshold.
Mars steps into Virgo tomorrow.
Precision replaces performance.
Practicality steadies the flame.
Ego seeks applause.
Soul seeks alignment.
The Moon’s opposition today
might bring a final emotional reckoning
from the Leo era—
especially if something or someone
lit a fire in you
in recent seasons.
Let that heat rise.
But don’t be afraid to cool it—
with breath,
with water,
with rest,
with silence.
Ego holds tension.
Soul releases it.
Mars brings action no matter the sign.
It’s the expression
and the intention
that changes.
Mars will not return to Leo
until September 2026.
Today’s invitation:
What heat did Mars in Leo bring
to your ego–soul dance?
What wants to be released
from the performance?
What wants to stay,
because it is true?
Ego collects victories.
Soul collects meaning.
Ego wants control.
Soul seeks communion.
Ego says: I am the flame.
Soul says: I am the light it reveals.
If this dance of ego and soul stirred something in you,
you’re not alone.
