Another day, another void
yes, another.
From Saturday, July 12 at 3:44 pm ET
to Sunday, July 13 at 7:44 pm ET,
the Moon drifts through open sky.
No planetary conversations.
No fresh aspects.
In astrology, we call this a void-of-course Moon—
a liminal window between engagements.
The Moon has said her last word in Aquarius
but hasn’t yet arrived in Pisces.
It’s a cosmic pause.
A breath between moments.
A clearing of the decks.
A subtle invitation to rest, digest, and realign.
These are not empty hours.
They are fertile ones.
This past week has asked a lot:
Uranus entered Gemini
A Full Moon rose, flanked by voids
Saturn stationed retrograde in Aries
And Mercury is already slowing,
preparing to retrace its steps in Leo this Friday.
It’s a lot to metabolize.
So the Moon, once again,
offers us something rare—
space.
Are you feeling the ache?
The fog? The weight?
You’re not imagining it.
You’re feeling the rhythm.
Sun trine North Node
While the Moon floats in stillness,
there’s a thread of light in the sky.
The Sun in Cancer
forms a trine to the North Node in Pisces.
In astrology, a trine is a soft aspect.
Supportive. Flowing.
It doesn’t demand. It allows.
It says: this way is open.
You don’t have to force it.
The Sun—our sense of self, center, and clarity—
reaches out to the North Node,
our compass for soul growth and becoming.
Together in water signs,
this trine is an emotional current.
It doesn’t push. It pulls.
Not toward achievement
but toward alignment.
Not toward perfection
but toward presence.
This aspect invites you to:
follow the vision that doesn’t require proof
nourish what the future needs from you
trust your softer instincts as sacred
move with intuition, not urgency
You don’t have to know where this is going.
Only that it’s yours to follow.

A Pause for (Re)Introduction
Since the cosmos is pausing,
it feels like the perfect moment
to reintroduce myself.
We have new readers!
Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
I’m Heather.
An intuitive guide, astrologer,
and former pharmacist
who now trades pills
for plants and planets.
I live in Annapolis, Maryland
with my teenage sons.
My roots stretch back to New England,
where I first learned to read the tides
long before I had language for the Moon.
I’ve been sober from alcohol since 2019—
and from other substances even longer.
Not because I hit some dramatic rock bottom,
but because I noticed something subtler:
when I didn’t keep the channel clear,
the magic couldn’t get through.
Synchronicity went silent.
The symbols got scrambled.
I couldn’t tell if what I was sensing was intuition—or interference.
So I cleared the static.
Not to be good. Not to be pure.
But to be tuned.
Keeping my channel clean
is how the guidance finds me.
It’s how I listen.
And it’s why I write.
More than credentials.
More than performance.
A clear channel is my reason.
If you’re on your own sobriety path or exploring one, I gently recommend checking out The Luckiest Club. For over five years, this community has been an integral part of my journey.
I believe in rhythm over rules.
Cycles over systems.
Light as language.
I tend the Moon,
my nervous system,
and my garden.
I walk the line
between what is seen
and what is sensed.
What is The Light Today?
It’s my daily devotion.
A writing practice rooted in rhythm.
Each morning, I follow the Moon
and the planets through the zodiac
and offer reflections along the way.
Some days are poetic.
Some grounded.
Some raw.
Most posts begin with the Moon
and end with an invitation
to pause.
To feel.
To return.
Earlier this year,
I took a songwriting class—
and fell back in love
with arrangement.
Not just sound,
but words on a page.
As a Gen Xer raised on liner notes,
this shapes my format
as much as the stars.
This work is for artists, seekers, sensitives.
For those rebuilding trust with their own knowing.
For those tired of the noise
but still listening for the signal.
For Paid Subscribers
This space is free.
But for those who want to go deeper—
Paid subscribers receive:
additional posts aligned with each lunar phase
monthly (or more!) live calls with me

a space to ask questions and connect
This is a slow-burning path.
You don’t need to know astrology.
Just a desire to listen.
About My Work
Because there’s a lot of noise out there,
I think it matters to say where I come from.
But the mantra that grounds me
more than any title is this:
Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo
I bow to the wisdom within.
Not to an outside guru.
But to the light that lives in all of us.

Why I Write
Because I need a way back to myself.
Because the light can be trusted.
Because not everything needs to be explained—
only attended to.
The Light Today is not a spotlight.
It’s a presence.
A pulse.
A practice.
If something in you recognizes this rhythm—
stay.
And if you’re ready to go deeper—
welcome.
A songwriter.
Ah. Yes. I see it.
The poetry.
The magic.
The cadence of your words-your lyrics.
Fun to read your bio.
And wow.
Dang, girl. You been busy.
